The new 'on-call' service from Careem

The new ‘on-call’ service from Careem allows you to book a ride without the internet. Acclaimed ride-hailing service Careem has emerged to solve a major problem that many of its customers have faced in the past – the Internet connectivity that disables them from booking a ride on the app.

The transportation network company has now announced that it will launch the Careem On-Call services all the time your internet bails on you to solve this widespread problem. The service allows users to simply call a cab from the service through a phone call or even an Rs25 charging SMS.

The service is kicked off by their bike rides, mainly at the ten locations in Karachi, including Civic Center, Shaheen Complex, Millenium Mall, Karachi University [ Maskan Gate ], Teen Talwar, Jinnah Hospital, Nipa Chowrangi, Water Pump, Cantt Station, and Amma Tower.

By dialing 8990 or sending a text message on the same number, customers will be able to book their rides, after which they will be asked to share their location code, followed by the Captain’s confirmation message on their way.
