Verizon’s LG V30 starts receiving Android Pie update. LG rolled out the V30’s Android Pie update back in July in Europe, and now Verizon’s V30 is also getting a taste of Android Pie.

There’s no official rollout announcement yet, but some of Verizon’s V30 users have already received the update, weighing about 2.3 GB in size. To see what the new firmware brings in, you can check the screenshot below.

Verizon is the first US carrier to offer the Android 9.0 Pie update to LG V30 users. The Big Red, however, has yet to refresh the support page of the LG V30 on its official website, confirming the wider update rollout.

We expect the update to be delivered in the coming weeks by other U.S. network operators like AT&T and T-Mobile, but at the moment it is impossible to predict an exact release date. Now that Verizon has started to seed Android Pie for the V30, we expect other U.S. carriers such as T-Mobile and AT&T to start Pie’s roll out soon as well.
