The Vivo NEX 3 is a beautiful device, but the screen is an individual piece of beauty. The business calls it a FullView Display for Waterfall. It’s a 6.89″ diagonal Super AMOLED panel and an amazing 99.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, according to Vivo. This is due to the screen’s highly curved edges at almost 90 degrees.

The Vivo NEX 3 is saying goodbye to physical keys having a screen on the sides. Now it brings Touch Sense, which, according to Vivo, simulates the actual touch of buttons and offers “more exquisite vibration feedback in different use cases.” There is also the X-Axis Haptic function that should provide a more pleasant vibration, applied to games, typing, and other scenes.

The mechanism of the selfie camera is similar to that of the Vivo X27 Pro, but now it has a 16 MP sensor. There is a feature called the Hyper HDR of Portrait Master which should increase the accuracy of the dynamic range between the face of a user and the brightest spot of the background. The regular camera setup will have “one-click away” wide-angle, telescopic and macro capabilities.

The phone on the inside is also quite impressive. It comes with 8 or 12 GB of RAM, while 256 GB of storage. The chipset is a Snapdragon 855 Plus, which is hardly surprising since the feature has already been teased by the official social media channels.

Another new but not-really-new feature is the 4,500 mAh battery capacity with 44W fast charging, announced with the Vivo iQOO Pro. The NEX 3 series will be available in Asia Pacific, Southeast China, and other markets in the coming months. There are three price levels for the phone. CNY 4,998 ($707/€641) with 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and 4 G capabilities is the cheapest.

Doubling the storage and getting the 5 G modem would put you back on CNY5,698 ($810/€730), while the most powerful 12/256 GB Vivo NEX 3 5 G would cost CNY6,198 ($877/€800). Today, pre-orders start with shipments scheduled for five days September 21.

The event ended with a classic note “But wait, there’s more,” where Vivo introduced the new TWS Earphone buds with the latest QCC5126 wireless chip from Qualcomm.
