Amazon Web Services, the retail giant’s cloud business, launched this chatbot on Tuesday. Amazon Q is intended to be adaptable to specific business requirements, allowing users to interact with it in a conversational fashion, similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

According to Amazon’s news release, professionals in marketing, project management, and sales from AWS-enabled businesses can use Amazon Q to execute tasks like drafting emails, summarising reports, and writing blog posts.

IT professionals and developers may use Amazon’s chatbot for everything from research to developing new features and fixing bugs, as well as building applications on Amazon’s cloud servers.

This AI chatbot is linked with several platforms, including Gmail, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams, and Slack, providing access to additional data resources.

In an interview with the New York Times, Amazon Web Services CEO Adam Selipsky stated that they envision Amazon Q being a helpful work partner for millions of people in their professional lives.

Amazon Q is currently available to AWS subscribers in select locations in the United States. It is available in two tiers: one for $20 per month per user and another for $25 per month per user, geared for technical personnel with additional capabilities.
