The design of the Huawei Y6 Prime is striking. On the front, you are welcomed with a resolution of 1560 by 720 pixels at 6.09 inches. A selfie camera is an 8MP unit and this phone sports. The sides and the back are all plastic in the middle of the dewdrop notch. What is a good thing, it feels rather unusually light.
The faux leather plastic panel on the back is one of the most interesting aspects of the 2019 Y6 Prime. The one I’ve got here is the amber brown variant, and it actually looks like leather. It feels coarse to the touch and I frankly prefer it to the flashy 2019 Y7 Prime and 2019 Y9 phones.
You will also see the single 13MP primary camera on the back with a flash and a fingerprint scanner. The phone has 32 gigabytes of internal storage plus provision for expanding it with a 512 GB memory card, 2 gigabytes of RAM, and a 3020mAh battery.
It is powered by a 6761 processor from MediaTek and runs Android Pie. I am currently on the security patch in February 2019 and I wish it to be continuously updated. In the next few days, I will use the phone and check out the full review later.
