Google Assistant can now be used to make voice and video calls on WhatsApp. Google announced a number of new features to Google Assistant on Thursday and supported smart devices, including the ability to make voice and video calls on WhatsApp.
“When you start in the WhatsApp Android app, you can now make hands-free audio and video calls,” the company said on its blog.
That means you can say something along the lines of “Hey Google, WhatsApp Video John,” and a video call will be started by the assistant.
The feature comes after Google also allowed the assistant to read and respond to texts from apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram and Slack earlier last month.
