Samsung announces Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A40s with punch hole display – Samsung has introduced two new phones in China today, adding to its growing Galaxy A-series. Samsung introduced the brand new Galaxy A60 and A40s alongside the previously announced Galaxy A70 and A80. With a punch hole display, the new Galaxy A60 follows the A8s. On the other hand, the Galaxy A40s is just a re-branded M30, suggesting that the actual M line is not going to reach the Chinese market.
The Galaxy A60 comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ resolution LCD Infinity-O display. The punch hole in the top left corner packs a selfie cam of 32MP and the body screen ratio is claimed to be the impressive 92%. The phone has no speaker grille on top as Samsung introduced its ScreenCast sound technology that uses the entire display as a large speaker, similar to the LG G8ThinQ.
The Galaxy A40s features a selfie cam of 16MP with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ Infinity-U display. The back has a 13MP f/1.9 main camera as well as an ultra-wide 5MP f/2.2 and 5MP deep sensor unit.
This phone packages a 6GB RAM and 64GB storage Exynos 7904 SoC. It features a massive battery of 5,000 mAh with 15W support for fast charging.
The Samsung Galaxy A60 will cost CNY 1,999 ($ 300/€265) while CNY 1,499 ($ 225/€200) will cost the Galaxy A40s. There is no word for either of the two new devices on the official release date.
