Redmi Y3 arrives with a 32 MP selfie camera on April 24. His successor is about to arrive seven months after the launch of Redmi Y2. Xiaomi India asked “and only selfies, and not 32 MP super selfies,” teasing Redmi Y3’s arrival, with, you guessed, 32 MP selfie camera. The launch will be on April 24 next week.

Looking at the teaser, a waterdrop notch will clearly be on the phone. Another interesting thing is that, unlike the Redmi Y2, which is a rebranded Redmi S2, or the Redmi Y1, which was initially introduced as Redmi Note 5A, the Redmi Y3 could be a completely new phone.

Upon arrival, the Redmi Y3 becomes the Xiaomi phone with the highest selfie camera resolution. The Mi Mix 3 has arrived so far with a 24 MP shooter, whereas the Mi 9 has a 20 MP sensor. We expect the new phone to have the Samsung ISOCELL GD1 sensor that uses a Quad-Bayer layer and functions effectively as an 8MP imager with huge pixels and HDR in real-time.
Other specs are unknown, but in the 10 days leading to the official event, we expect some to leak. Some fans are also hoping for a Mi A3 arrival, but in various Twitter conversations, Xiaomi India immediately shot down the idea.
