According to @WABetaInfo, the new WhatsApp Beta update for iOS (23.23.1.77) was recently submitted through the TestFlight beta program. Following a similar release for Android (2.23.24.10), the new beta update includes the ability to link an email account to your WhatsApp. This common function in many apps was missing from WhatsApp, but it is now available on both Android and iOS.

The email address page, as seen in the photographs, is quite straightforward, with an opportunity to easily input your address. After that, you’ll need to validate your email post before you can access and regain your account. It is important to note, however, that this does not replace phone numbers, as you will still need them to access your account.
Users can opt out of using this functionality if they choose. However, I believe it would be beneficial to add your email address to WhatsApp so that you have more alternatives for receiving a 6-digit verification code when needed.
