NVIDIA RTX 2070 Ti Benchmarks & Potential Specs Leaked. While this summer AMD is preparing its largest 7 nm CPU and GPU roll-out ever, NVIDIA is not standing still and seems to be preparing one last 12 nm punch. A few months ago we heard whispers about a potential GeForce RTX 2070 Ti graphics card that made it available for marketing and even some AIBs saw references to it, but those were quickly brushed aside when AIB’s claimed that they were mere typos. Well, as it turns out, after all, they might not have been typos.
NVIDIA RTX 2070 Ti Leaked Potential Specifications & Benchmarks – 1590 MHz & 7.5 GB VRAM
The card falls squarely in terms of performance between the RTX 2080 and RTX 2070 but features a slightly lower clock speed than either of them and a bizarre 7.5 GB VRAM spec that is, to say the least, interesting.
Userbench may misread the actual values of both clock speed and memory capacity, so bear in mind that as the actual card may end up with higher clock speed and the full 8 GB frame buffer.
With that being said, it is important to remember to take all this with a salt grain as none of it can be verified until we have a real card in our test bench. Although there is not a huge distance in terms of performance between the RTX 2080 and RTX 2070, an RTX 2070 Ti could still fill the ~$200 price gap between them.
If NVIDIA anticipates this summer preempting a new high-performance AMD contestant in the form of Navi, it would also make sense to have a 2070 Ti. Because if NVIDIA can attract you to upgrade now, when Navi comes out you are less likely to do so. It could also serve as a less expensive and more powerful competitor for the Radeon VII of AMD. After all, the sole purpose of the 1070 Ti was to take out the Vega 56 of AMD and that was very successful. As always, the consumer is the most important aspect of all this. Would you like to buy an RTX 2070 Ti if it falls squarely in terms of performance and pricing between the RTX 2080 and RTX 2070? Must Answer this question in a comment.
