Amir Azeem Bajwa (Retd.), Chairman, Pakistan Telecommunications Authority and Dr. Wang Zhihua, Economic and Commercial Counselor, Chinese Embassy, alongside dignitaries from different government elements, telecom industry, and the corporate segment.

Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui said Zong was at the forefront of advancing the country’s digital agenda. The company has continued to uplift the telecommunications infrastructure across the country as a pioneering 4G in Pakistan.

“I would like to take this moment to congratulate Zong on becoming the first Pakistani telecommunications operator to successfully complete the 5G trial and put Pakistan on a shortlist of 5G ready countries,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Zong’s Chairman and CEO Wang Hua said, “CMPak has committed itself to serve Pakistanis ‘ livelihood, boosting the economy of Pakistan, and continuously improving its network capabilities and service level by relying on strong support from China Mobile Group.

Zong has become Pakistan’s first operator to successfully conduct 5 G trials and this is yet another milestone for us. “Zong believes that 5 G will bring more profound and long-term changes to the future economic transformation of Pakistan, social progress, and improvement of people’s livelihoods. 5 G is expected to have an impact on health care, agriculture, and education.
